In our Costa Mesa veterinary care center, a loving touch is our first priority. Our veterinarian, Dr. Bruce Bauersfeld, has years of experience treating animals of all types in emergency care as well as preventative care. Dover Shores Pet Care Center is a full-service animal hospital, which means we are able to provide your pet with emergency surgery, dental problems and routine check-up. We also offer regular veterinary services such as dog boarding and grooming. Our experienced and professional staff is dedicated to making your pet's visit to the vet as calm and stress-free as possible, and we allow you to be in the room during all procedures to help your pet feel safe and secure.
Every pet needs to be on a regular vaccination schedule, and we will set up a regular calendar for your dog or cat’s vaccines or boosters. When it comes time for the next vaccination on the schedule, we will send you a reminder to schedule a visit.
Dog grooming is a matter of health, not just looking good. A dogs need regular bathing to keep their coat and skin healthy, and their nails need to be clipped to prevent ingrown nails and sore paws. Our dog grooming service concentrates on basic grooming needs for your 
pet, giving him a healthy coat and paws.
Although your pet is happiest at home with you, there are times when you just can't be with him. We offer dog boarding for those times when you are on vacation and won't be home for days, as well as doggie day care. If your dog is uncomfortable being home alone during your long work days, try our day care facility. You may end up with a happier and calmer pet after a day of loving attention in our clinic.
Our veterinary hospital is equipped to deal with almost every pet emergency, from accidental poisoning to broken bones. Dr. Bauersfeld is experienced in caring for dogs and cats with many different health problems and will give your pet an complete examination, diagnosis, and treatment to help make him well again. We have staff in the office six days a week, so never hesitate to call or come in during business hours if you feel your pet is suffering from a medical emergency.
Our Costa Mesa staff is dedicated to caring for your pet throughout his life, and this includes spay and neuter services as well. We recommend spay or neuter procedures for all pets that will not be bred. Sterilization has many behavioral and health benefits for your pet.
